New Communities for Ed.D. Announced
The College of Education is taking applications, with an April 1, 2015 deadline, for two new themes in its Ed.D. (Doctor of Education) program. One theme is Global Education and Leadership and the second is Leadership in Educational Practice. Our Ed.D. program features thematic learning communities. Students apply for a learning community focused on a theme of their interest and work within their learning community throughout the three-year program.
Each learning community is supported by a team of faculty and practitioner mentors who stay with them for the entire program. The program’s capstone is a Dissertation in Practice, a collaborative project for the learning community designed to improve practice within the community’s thematic area.
