Are you a new or current graduate student? If so, we want to meet you!
The College of Education Office of Doctoral Student Programs in collaboration with the Office of Advising and Student Services is excited to host our first session of the inaugural series of Student Success Workshops designed to support students and candidates throughout their academic journey. We are kicking off the Fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic year by hosting a welcome back event!
The event will be held on Wednesday, August 21 in the Boeing Auditorium in the Technology and Learning Center on UMSL South Campus. The event begins with a meet and greet at 4:30 PM where students can network with each other and meet the Office of Doctoral Student Programs staff. Complementary snacks will be served.
Programming begins at 5:00 PM and includes introductions by Dean Ann Taylor, Dr. Shawn Woodhouse, associate dean of student services and doctoral program coordinator, student support services staff, as well as a brief information session that will outline the nuts and bolts of graduate study. Students will learn the tips and tools necessary to lay the foundation for a successful academic experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions and topics for exploration in future sessions. The evening promises to be both fun and informative and should conclude by 6:00 PM. No registration is necessary. We hope to see you there!
