Nominations Due for “Courageous Educator” Award
Do you know a teacher who should be recognized for their contributions to social justice? The Educating for Change Curriculum Fair committee is seeking nominations for the “Courageous Educator Award.” During a time when teachers’ voices and actions are often silenced and disregarded, we look to our colleagues and allies who dare to take a stand. The Courageous Educator Award will be given to educators who act on behalf of their students and the teaching profession. This is a call for nominees who demonstrate what educational change looks like in action.
Please email a one-page description of the educator you are nominating by January 13 to UMSL alumnus Rob Good. The award winner will be recognized at a special ceremony at the 8th Annual Educating for Change Fair on March 2nd, 2013. Click here to download a flyer with more information about the award.
